Last minute decision to take the In-Laws to Japanese (for the first time!) for Sunday Lunch. Best place we could have visited by far! The food tasted amazing, was superbly presented, and the in-laws were suitably impressed. The service was quick from order to plate. The staff were attentive, friendly and happy to make suggestions. Fantastic drinks menu and the location by the harbour was perfect. Definitely one for the regular restaurants to visit list. The In-Laws are now definate converts to Japanese cuisine

Amazing experience. Both the food and service were sensational and made our anniversary celebration one to remember. Our highlights were the duck and the tartare, both mouth watering and very unique; still thinking about it days later, though we couldn’t fault the sashimi, wagu, saki, cucumber salad, edamame beans, and sponge cake either! We’ll be back for certain.

We had the banquet menu and would you believe it was too generous? Don’t order extra if you do. Drinks are good great Japanese imported beers and a huge wine menu, lots of Sake and Scotch.

MAGGOTS: Absolutely disgusted last night to come to the end of my meal and find maggots in not 1 but 2 of my dishes!! I ordered the edamame, pork gyoza and sanzoku yaki chicken. The kitchen provided no explanation and didn’t make any effort to come out and apologise. My server Laura only offered to take the 2 dishes off my bill where I should have had the entire bill cleared. This is entirely unacceptable for a restaurant of this price point. I’m now feeling sick to my stomach and nauseous. Needless to say I will not be returning.

Although the staff at Nagisa is friendly and attentive, my overall dining experience fell short. I ordered two sets of seafood bento and was underwhelmed by the lackluster flavors and presentation. The salmon sashimi was particularly disappointing, as it was chewy and did not meet my expectations. The food had a more westernized twist and lacked authentic Japanese taste. Despite this, the atmosphere of the restaurant was pleasant, and the service was outstanding. However, considering the price of the meal, I expected more in terms of the food quality.

Food is amazing, just too small. Results in a large bill if you want to walk away satisfied. Practically nothing for children.

Very friendly staff who accomodate us even without a booking. We started off with a couple of mains but it didn’t hit the spot so we needed to order some additional dishes. The eggplant was lovely and would order again. The sashimi was okay but an overall nice time
