Really delicious, simple Japanese food. Always busy so best to book a table. Been twice now and both times been super impressed with the food. Enjoyed the mackerel Bento, chicken katsudon, tempura udon and takoyaki. Service is quick and friendly too.

We took away some bento and dons and ate them at home. It was an extra emotional meal as we ate while watching the anime “Your Name”. The food was so authentic that I felt like I was being transferred into the Japanese scenes of the anime. I particularly recommend the bentos. Every element of the bento was seasoned so beautifully – not a single bland ingredient at all. The dons tasted really lovely too and is a slightly cheaper option compared to the bentos. Highly recommend!

Authentic cuisine in a part of Melbourne lacking in Washoku. Prices not too bad, could go for easy snack, full on meal, or take away. Bustling place, people trying their luck non-stop. Wait staff happy to speak Japanese and also give out great advice. We sat outside which I was glad we did, inside seemed action-packed and many were eying our table! Easy parking too.

Finally made it hear after recommendations from my Japanese friends, very glad I did. Really nice authentic food and good value for money. A good if somewhat small range of Japanese alcohol and drinks. Not a huge place so I think booking is a good idea, the staff are really nice and helpful also. I’m looking forward to going back to try more of the menu

Delicious food, friendly staff and simple ambience. Definitely recommend coming here but ensure you make a booking! Also, I recommend pre-ordering the chawanmushi. Soft, velvety and pleasing to the palate.

Authentic Japanese food, looks like a family run restaurant. Not the best dining environment and customer service to be expected, but the food is amazing. From the presentation to the taste, the owner definitely has a passion for it. Been there twice, the wait time is tolerable when it gets busy.
