Excellent quality and value, with good portions. Sweet and sour pork was the best I have had in a long time, perfectly cooked and flavour balanced. Special fried rice was excellent, as was the chicken with cashew nuts. The satay beef was too spicy for us (but we can’t tolerate much these days).

We purchased meals for 4 people and none of us enjoyed it. The fried rice had barely anything in it. I don’t expect a lot from Casino food shops but I think they should be doing better.

We had a wonderful dinner tonight, our first time here, but definitely not our last really lovely Chinese food fresh flavoursome, and very generous serves and the waitress was very friendly and charming .. we requested, garlic and ginger to be added to our chicken and cashew maincourse, and there was lots of fresh ginger and garlic, and even the sweetcorn in our soup was fresh and crunchy, not from a can ✅

It’s pretty hard to get fried rice wrong but this one wins the prize. All it had was rice, some egg, a few prawns and a couple of pieces of bacon with no flavour what so ever. I certainly won’t be going back, one dish was certainly enough.

3 weeks ago I reviewed the other Chinese restaurant in Barker St and was happy. Mun Tien is even better. The dishes are tastier, have more protein including delicious prawns and the vegies are superfresh. Even after a 50min trip home, it required no reheating as it was still HOT. The special fried rice was good and the accompanying prawn crackers and crispy noodles fresh. An extra bonus is it’s slightly cheaper than the previous restaurant. Another plus was the blistering speed with which our food appeared. Incredible.

I was very disappointed in the meal I received tonight. There was about 3 prawns in the special fried rice and it was extremely dry and had no flavor. The chicken chow min was also dry and flavorless I always order an extra bag of cripsy noodles to soak up the lovely juices but there wasnt any plus I’m not sure if they still do it but usually you receive a complementary bag of prawn chips with i didn’t. Im not being fussy but have ordered from there for at least six years and didn’t enjoy it at all.

Good, hot food, served in a timely manner, quite delicious. It was a very busy night for takeaways, and they appeared short staffed. Our cutlery was just dumped on the table as the counter staff lady walked past, but really that was the only negative, and a minor one at that. Very reasonable prices.
