The cultural presentation, music and art pieces made it feel like I was in Mexico. The food was traditional and great with a large serving size. The cocktails were on point with excellent service. My partner and I were served by Jess who was great to chat with. She interacted with us like a genuine person which made the interaction feel real and lively. I greatly recommended visiting Montezuma and will certainly be back for more

The wait time for food took some time but no complaints for food – hot, decent portion and delicious. Very much a go to ‘comfort food’ or when ‘I miss my mothers cooking’ type of food.

Came here on Father’s Day table of 8, waited 45 mins- 1 hour for our food to then have my grandma ask and the food hadn’t even been put through to the kitchen. Two wait staff standing around doing nothing, had to get up and ask for water 3 times… we came in earlier than 3 other tables and the other tables got everything they ordered before us. The food was good once we got it but the lack of care from the server was ridiculous and for that we will not be coming back.

Forget five star steakhouses, come here instead. The food is really good and filling. The staff are friendly and nice with an amazing atmosphere, the music was never too loud and the decorations were pretty to look at. 5/5

We had a lovely family dinner and Rose was a wonderful waitress. The restaurant was very short staffed that night, but Rose did an exceptional job, always with a smile on her face and a kind word. We would definitely go back & hope she serves us again!

They’ve ruined a westside institution with what I can only assume is some attempt to keep up with other Mexican chains. While the menu items may seem similar on paper, the taste is not. Flavour is missing. Corn chips are greasy. Rice portions are measly. Service was average at best – no cutlery or napkins for entree, mains came out 5 minutes apart and undercooked. This is most definitely not the much loved Montezuma’s of old!!

We love it here and regularly order the beef nachos for takeaway. Portion sizes are generous. The burrito bowl is also quite good and my husband really likes the Huevos rancheros. Outdoor seating is available, so we are able to bring our dogs. Staff is always friendly. It’s a great spot for Mexican food.

Gone were the days where this place gave you value for money, good food and service. Most of the staff looked so fed up and over it, with the exception of two staff, the one who wears the crazy beautiful eye makeup and the one with the dreadlocks and piercings (who usually is in the kitchen) they are both very helpful and friendly, even when they are understaffed on the floor.

Honestly would give 0 stars if I could. We ordered take away, lady said it would take 20mins, ended up waiting double the time. Which would have been ok but then we got home and we found out we were given the wrong order. So we had to take it back, not only was the lady completely unapologetic but she made it out that it was our fault. When we got home, we realised that non of my wife’s dietary requirements were noted down, she asked for no diary and they ended giving her cheese and sour cream, the food was cold and the meat and nachos were so salty it was inedible. For $45 that was the worst take away we’ve experienced. If anyone is going to get take away here, I would double check your order was correct and that it was edible before you left.
