There was no one front of house and I had to wait @ 12.30pm. That’s fine, I understand. Atmosphere good and beautiful restaurant, service fine. Food serving size could be better considering price for entree size pasta. Scallops beautiful. Coffee was the absolute worst. Scalding hot cappuccino. I had to send it back. Please provide barista training to your coffee serving staff or do not serve coffee. I will try a different restaurant in crown next time. For a nice meal out, I would prefer something else.

Beautiful, classy restaurant. The food and wine were excellent and the service professional. The only let-down for me (and I understand they were busy) was the 50 minute wait between the entree and the main. Fortunately, we had allowed plenty of time ahead of our show, so it didn’t spoil the experience for us.

How do I begin…? We waited for longer than expected but that was fine. The worst thing about this restaurant is the food. It doesn’t seem authentic at all. Every aspect of the food was simply an insult to the local fellow Italians. The meat could have been seasoned well. They also ruined a good piece of meat and only deep-fried it and it was over $40. The spaghetti just tasted like a noodle stir fry with salt and stir fry, nothing special at all. It was also very salty. The only thing I like about the food is the fresh olives. To add on, the staff looked confused. As a waitress in a restaurant, the service was just fine, but not up to standards. Overall, I do not recommend this restaurant.

We have been to Modo Mia a few times and always had a lovely meal however our dinner experience on the 15th September was the worse experience our shared entree of calamari had the strangest texture it tasted raw and we were told it was a different kind of calamari called a pineapple calamari definitely not to our taste my partners fish of the day a snapper had no taste to it and elements it came with was just bland on a good note my squid ink crab pasta was delicious and the broccolini very good we just wanted to leave after mains and didn’t bother with dessert

Me and Partner went to A Modo Mio at Crown – I was a bit dubious (being italian I shy away from italian food occasionally wanting to try new foods). We ordered the fillet and some broccolini with pecorino (liked the unusual mix) and some octopus. The fillet was decent but nothing to remember- the octopus was the best (the truffle flavours made it memorable and a must when visiting again). We received the best service from one of the waitresses (pity I don’t remember her name – she was petite and very timely in her Service – with a capital S – she was wearing a mask just in observance to Government Guidelines). If you go for a Special Occasion (our was – Birthday) you won’t be disappointed.
