Miss Maud reminds me of a modern version of a classic French coffee culture where they pour true love into food and drinks they make! I had a chicken and bacon baguette which was super crispy and fresh, severed so nicely in a plate with cutlery. Coffee was smooth and was in fine warmth without destroying its aroma or being so cold loosing its tinge. Service was quick despite the place being busy at brunch o’clock. Must visit place in Carousel. I’m a Melbourne coffee guy but would say this is in par with an average Melbourne coffee shop 🙂

Very disappointed in the cost of the Tuna Melt for what you get, it is literally a slice of bread with some mixed up tuna egg onion mix with melted cheese on top with a side salad. Tastes nice but definitely not worth $17.50. We were waiting so long for our food people whogot there after us were getting there food before us so the Eggs Florentine were left out and became boiled eggs instead of poached. Place is very dirty!! Employ someone to just clean the floors and tables.

The food we ordered was unavailable, sweedish meat balls, because there was no gravy available. The Gone Fishing was a disaster and the eggs Benedict was served with burnt toast. We ordered hazelnut ruffle, it was dry and stale. Will never visit this place again. It was my favorite but not any more.

We went for lunch at carousel. Our order took 45 minutes to come out and there was only about 5 people in the restaurant. My sister had the Cajun chicken salad, it was all soggy and had old brown lettuce in it and it was all smooched together, she asked for something else and they asked her to pay the difference of about $1 if that. I had the gourmet salad, it had no avocado in it and a minuscule amount of feta in tiny pieces which I had to hunt for.

Went there to get coffee and slice of cake. The coffee was nice and on time without any delays. Staff are very friendly and nice. There is plenty of sitting area available. The shop is a little walk from woolworths. The blackforest cake slice tasted old and not fresh. Blackforest is my favourite so i know what fresh tastes like. I dont know if it wasnt made properly or if it was not fresh.

Dad & I decided to go to miss mauds in carousel shopping centre for a change instead of our usual coffee shop there. What a Disappointment! I had a Ruben Sandwich which almost broke my tooth it was that hard and burnt on one side and soggy on the other. Also the oven baked chips were soggy and some dry and over cooked. Dads breakfast was no better the eggs hard and the hash browns soggy and undercooked. the bacon was burnt around the edges. Dad said the whole meal was very greasy. All in All both meals looked like little care had been taken to present them as intended and certainly improvement is needed in the kitchen. We’ll be going back to our usual spot from now on.

Coffee is definitely a 4 star. The gentlemen who made it apologised for the delay. The trainee who took the order was friendly and took the initiative to make the encounter memorable. Can’t comment about the food though since I’ve never tried it before.
