It was quite an experience. We went there for a High Tea. The restaurant is in the basement, very sophisticated, extreemly elegant, the staff were delightful, the food to die for, and the establishment just perfect. I absolutely loved it and hopefully will go back.

High tea was a bit basic though the food was nice. It felt a bit stingy for the $70pp price and we were kind of left alone after bringing out our food and one glass of bubbly with there seemingly only two friendly staff on service for a fairly full area. It took an hour for us to get served tea and the scones came out about 10mins later (we had one small jar of jam and small amount of cream between three of us). No offers of top ups or clearing of the table til we left. They were busy but not crazy busy enough to warrant the lack of attention and generosity we received. We thanked staff and paid without complaint but won’t be back for high tea. Maybe we came on an off day or maybe we have been spoilt by other places! Also the pianist was a great touch!

The food here was so yummy. We had attended a wedding reception here and they catered for the dinner meals. The food was good, service was professional and polite. Then we had breakfast the day after, it was a buffet the food here was also very delishes, there was a good variety of savory and sweats as well as tea, coffee, juices and healthy choices.

My mum and I had breakfast this morning here as part of our overnight stay at the Mayfair. Very posh looking inside with lovely decor. The breakfast was buffet style and the food I chose was delightful, very tasty. Lovely place to eat.
