Came for lunch at 1:30pm on Friday. They weren’t busy and we received our very tasty and delicious burgers before we could go back for seconds on the free, fresh, and, well stocked salad bar. Service was friendly and attentive. Price was reasonable and not expensive. We have been to the Malley at least three times over 5 years and we are never disappointed. Thank you. See you again.

Had a meal with family on 12th September, party of 11. Food was reasonable, atmosphere was flat but there was no one else in the restaurant so fair enough. After our meal the table was not cleared, we sat for approximately 30-40 minutes after eating and only when the waitress brought out the ice cream that was part of the kids meal did she take two plates away but did not return for the rest. I could understand if it was busy but the place was empty. Absolutely disgraceful effort by the wait staff.

Great steak house steaks are cooked over char grill and are super tasty choices of baked potatoes or chips and all you can eat salad bar the cob loaf is huge good for two people or single ….great atmosphere reliable service and excellent prices on steaks I would recommend the mallee grill to anyone looking for a good traditional char grilled steak in burnie I will be returning again very soon

I really liked this place. The salad bar was simple but yummy and all you can eat. My dad had the flathead special, and he said it was alright, perhaps a bit expensive for one flathead fillet at nearly $30.

Best steaks around. Chicken is always moist and tender. Salad is always fresh. The guys and gals that work there are so friendly. Good selection of wines and beers. 10 out of 10. I only wish I had left room for dessert.

Excellent (though somewhat pricey) steaks – they really know how to cook medium rare rump steak. It’s very good! House made sausages are pretty good. Shoe string fries are nice although a bit hit or miss in terms of how hot they are by the time they arrive on the table.

My husband and I both ordered the scotch fillet steaks. Mine was cooked perfectly but had a strong burnt taste from the grill. My husbands steak was completely burnt (beyond reasonably charred) and we had to cut the whole layer off. Not what you’d want when paying for a nice steak. Both steaks were unfortunately tough and took some effort to eat

We went to see the penguins and the Mallee was close so we stopped in for dinner. Everyone was happy with the meals. All meal came with your choice of chips or roast potatoes which we loved and salad from the salad bar

The food was okay, but 31 dollars for a kieve and ‘roast potatoes’ (which were just two small whole fried potatoes) was a bit steep. There was no table side drinks (had to go up to the bar and buy them) their salad bar was pretty average. Also why is the music SO LOUD. Is it to drown out people complaining about the food? At least the waitresses were amazing, polite and helpful. Probably won’t be back any time soon sadly.
