The Mallee Fowl Restaurant is set in eleven acres of picturesque bushland and lies in the heart of the Riverland in South Australia, nestled within the beautiful Mallee countryside and located just five kilometres from the town of Berri. The restaurant has been designed to resemble an early settlement dwelling, with chooks, geese, emus, ducks, lyrebirds and many other Australian animals wandering the huge enclosure. The Mallee Fowl is a ‘must visit’ destination for locals and tourists alike, we hear this comment from customers over and over again!

Really great service, great chips, schnitzels are normal size, thick and perfectly cooked. Mushroom sauce was nice. Lemon cheesecake that was homemade was the best I’ve ever had, perfect. Hoping to come back during the day to see the animals.

What a pleasant surprise! Drove past on way home from Adelaide and stopped in for bite with our 3 young kids. Staff were so friendly and welcoming from the get go. The food was good value and delicious. I was not particularly hungry but was not made to feel cheap when I got an entree size calamari which was perfectly cooked. My wife loved her surf and turf with the steak cooked to perfection melting in her mouth. Nothing seemed to be a problem even the special order for our 9 yo at the end of the night. Everyone loved it and the eclectic country music decor vibe kept the kids entertained with asking questions about all the old things they had never seen before. Will definitely be going back

What a great night out for dinner. Meals were great and service excellent. Haven’t seen staff running as much as they were for a long time. Birthday customers were treated to individual attention if if they didn’t want it. Great ambience. A true gem of a place to be found, with many interesting collects to be admired…well done Frank and co…will be telling our Melbourne friends when they travel over to look you up
