Maharaja Indian Bistro has been a fixture of Nedlands for 19 years. Located next door to the Windsor Cinema and adjacent to the Captain Stirling Pub, it’s perfect for a night out. The restaurant is decorated luxuriously, service is attentive but not intrusive, and flavours are magnificent using only the finest quality ingredients.

Traditional curries served in an elegant dining room with old-fashioned furniture and wallpaper.

Nice atmosphere, great table service, table laid out with decent table cloth and very stylish and modern cutlery. If this wasn’t already great, what really sets this place apart from others is that it is fairly quiet although well visited, you can have a decent conversation without the need to yell at each other!

Dropped by for a family dinner and was quite pleased with the atmosphere. Service was ok but the checking-in by multiple waitresses over 20 minutes after food was served may be a little overwhelming. Had to admit that the curries (madras & butter chicken) and the fresh naan pieces were disappointing. Chicken pieces were dry and “separated” from the gravy. Garlic naan appeared to have dried and not fresh garlic + they were tasteless. We were so looking forward to some authentic curries but were disappointed.
