Always a favorite for me however this time I took with me interstate guests : the service was amazing, the food sensational and of course the vibe was great. Lotus Double Bay is satisfying food at reasonable prices. We shared the ‘jade banquet’ for two at $69 per person. This Lotus restaurant would be good for locals living in Double Bay, but not worth travelling to when you can go to Lotus at Barrangaroo on the water with much better quality food, service and atmosphere – Don’t assume all Lotus restaurants are of the same standard.

Tried the 10course yumcha today which is $55pp and a nice way to try many different dishes from the venue. The food was mostly very pleasant, the smoked duck pancakes was quite dry. But other than that everything else was quite enjoyable and well presented, altho none of the dishes had that differentiating wow factor.

This place is amazing. We sat down and waited what seemed to be 10 minutes for them to take the drink order, but it was Saturday, and they were busy. From the moment they took our drinks and food order the service and food flowed. The service is second to none and I jokingly said to one of the waitresses to stop smiling. This is one of those little gems you just have to try. Great good, service and atmosphere AAAAA+++++
