Being the day before the Gold Coast HM and 2 days before the marathon I was after a big plate of pancakes. I ordered the vanilla pancakes at Lola’s. They certainly filled me up and though not the fluffiest I have had in the past they were quite delicious with lots of maple syrup. Very friendly staff and good service. Plenty of covered out door seating and outdoor gas heaters in place. The cafe is pet friendly and they even have doggy treats. Some of the other meals looked pretty good.

Service was indifferent, he was there only because he had to be, it seemed. I wanted to order the corn fritters and being vegetarian I asked if I could switch out the bacon for some avocado perhaps. I was told that they could take the bacon off but adding avocado would be $5 extra.

Delicious food, reasonable prices, friendly service. Booked on Quandoo via Google Maps. Large comfortable tables outside. We were seated on the leather booth with ample pillows for the bright red chairs. Full table service, unlike most restaurants which have you line up to order at the counter to receive a table number. Licensed for ‘eye openers’, I had a glass of bubbles, my buddy had the blueberry smoothie. They enjoyed the avocado Benedict and the mushroom Benny; I had the corn cakes with rocket and tomato, and passed the carnivore the two slices of bacon. A side of hash browns included two patties. Eggs were poached as ordered and condiments like salt and tomato sauce brought as requested. It’s a lovely spot to people watch- either the passing beach goers, (or the shoppers at the next door BWS). Tables are big bistro size and spaced generously. The corner is peaceful with minimal traffic. Awnings can roll down in inclement weather. Their variety of sandwiches on Turkish bread and freshly baked goods in the display case look lovely. January 2023 they were only open for breakfast and lunch, although her Fish and Chips counter around the corner goes pizzas and salads as well. Definitely a neighbourhood gem. Highly recommended!

First time we’ve ventured north to this little cafe and now I wonder why we took so long to try it! Absolutely fabulous breakfast menu but we both opted for the acai bowls & they were delicious. Coffee good. Service quick and attentive. Now I can’t wait to go back and work my way through the menu…and then go for lunch as well. Perfect spot to sit and soak up morning sun.

Food is good. It was hot and fresh and delivered in a decent time. Service is questionable and the lady behind the counter was rude when my friends and I asked where the bin was. I would absolutely recommend going here for food but it’s definitely not service with a smile.
