LJ’s has declined the last few years food wise. The chips hardly get salted though it depends on who serves you, the chicken however is incredible but unfortunately I can’t say that about the rest of the food there. The service is pretty good, I’ve never had a bad experience while going there though I can’t say they’ve been amazing either, pretty normal to what you’d expect. The atmosphere however is amazing. Everyone is super friendly and I’ve never had a bad experience from other customers before.

My family and I are staying in the area for a weekend away and forgot to pack lunch, I found LJ’s cafe on Google and thought we’d pop in for a quick lunch stop. My partner got a seafood basket that was huge (and delicious!). I got a lunch special with 2 pieces of chicken, this chicken was to die for. It was so good and much, much nicer than any other fried chicken I’ve had, including KFC! I rarely leave reviews but felt urged to leave this one because it was so good! We will be making the drive back again!

Eating 5 stars because this is one of the best takeaway / cheap cafe places you will ever find. Try the chicken and gravy roll. Then change your clothes because you’ll have drooled all over them in both anticipation and remembrance.

Wow. Was not expecting just now to have the best chicken burger ever!!! I rarely review cafés, but felt I had to share how delicious the food was here. Chips perfectly crispy on the outside and soft in the middle..oh and the perinaise sauce 10/10 for everything, and top it all off the girl serving us was super lovely! Thanks to everyone who works here for my scrummy lunch

Food is great.. but don’t order via chat.. as there is no acknowledgement that your order has been placed.. or even worse .. to get there and be told that they do not have time to look at the phone. Dump that service then!
