Wish we had read the reviews before we went. We had a booking for 630, turned up and told our table was over there but sit wherever we wanted. Had to flag a staff member down for menus, she told us she would send someone over to take our order. Sat there for 15 minutes and no one came over. How is that even possible? We got up and left and went to a much better restaurant on Darby st. We later had a look at the reviews and it seems a common theme. I’d suggest you call a staff meeting and address all the negative reviews and retrain the staff.

After reading all the negative reviews…I’m wondering if those people voiced a concern at the time or messaged the manager….or just headed straight for the cranky Facebook rant button…I feel like I’m reading about a different place…I’m local and have been there on numerous occasions..with several people and not once was anyone unhappy or noticed any lacklustre staff…I was concerned when it changed from the landing as I’m not a fan of mexican but I’m a regular now…ive had 1 small issue..addressed it with the staff…and i was offered a replacement…its called being a respectful consumer…

WARNING do not order the food. Whilst the service was fine the food was inedible. We had the chipotle beef burrito bowl, the beef was so overcooked and dehydrated we couldn’t eat it, it was like chewing shoe leather. It was also stone cold. Added to this it was accompanied with the blandest guacamole I have ever come across, some chopped tomato, beans and corn straight out of a can, plain sour cream and over cooked mushy rice. Newcastle is a very competitive dining market, we eat out 2 to 3 times a week and have been for several years. This is the worst food we have come across. Avoid this place like the plague. I only gave this place 1 star because the site would not allow me to post with zero

Were seated and waiting for table service as we weren’t told we had to go upstairs to order. When ordering we were asked for a table number, returned to the table to find there were none put out. Our food was then taken to the wrong table. No plates to eat off served with a shared fajitas platter nor tongs to serve ourselves.

This place is poor. The general attitude of the staff is average, happy hour cuts off at 6 sharp, even if your lining up for 3 minutes and most importantly the food is lazy, overpriced and our nachos was served cold AND burnt. We ordered a entree (which arrived with our mains) of Karaage chicken for $20. It’s was the size of the $6 serving you get at a sushi restaurant.

We visited on Thurs 29 Dec at 1pm. There were 2 free tables, both hadn’t been cleared and needed a wipe. Had to ask this. Staff weren’t proactive. The table was wiped with one spray and remained sticky so we moved outside to another table.
