Stepping into La Maison is a journey where history meets culinary innovation. This border oasis combines a homey ambiance with a dynamic menu. From the perfectly crafted fusion of pork belly and gnocchi to the unexpected delight of a sweet potato and walnut brownie, each bite is a revelation. Paired with their signature French martini and mojito, dining here transcends the ordinary. A must-visit for those seeking an unforgettable experience.

Went to La Maison as part of a dinner and show package. Lovely set menu. Four choices of entree and main. Glass of wine or beer included. Meal was really good…couldn’t fault any of the courses. Service was exceptional. Friendly and helpful staff always atuned to your needs. Will be back.

Experience has dropped over time. It was decent over a year ago (I hear it had already begun declining), really dropped the ball shortly before one of the lockdowns, and whilst it’s improved somewhat since then, you’re still paying $$$ levels for $$ quality. Overdone steaks, dry duck… Hopefully they will improve over time, but given there’s not heaps of competition, I won’t hold my breath.

Food and service are good. It is quite expensive. Ambience is nice. Portions are small, it’s best to order extra vegetables or salad but this makes it even more expensive. Not a huge menu.

It never ceases to amaze me how excellent this business is. The setting itself is both inviting and intriguing. Their food is cooked, served and plated absolutely exquisitely. They always cook exactly as you ask or better. I have never tasted better food and I am fussy eater according to some…. who are not named here. My wife and I continually return here for these two reasons. The owner appeared at our table (24) tonight masquerading as a waiter which he is free to do, and good on him. By one of his remarks after I quizzed him on his amazing ability as a waiter I knew there was more to this. I asked the man when I paid, and found out he was who I suspected he was. What incredible service and attention to clientele. Absolute five star food and service. I have never been to a better restaurant, not just in Albury, but anywhere, ever.

The entire experience at La Maison was top notch; we were greeted by a smiley waitress, guided to a table where we received water quickly and great suggestions for drinks.
