Visited La Lupa Romana with my partner last night. It was absolutely fantastic, she had the Lasagne and I had the carbonara. Honestly it was the best Italian meal I’ve ever eaten.

We went there for the first time on Saturday night and will definitely make this place a regular visit! Incredibly friendly staff, authentic food, great atmosphere. This place was a little stand alone gem. They catered well for our young children and we felt we definitely got value for money. Have been there two or three times previously and we were very satisfied with everything however typical to Italian restaurants noise is always an issue. Never seem to be able to get the acoustics right. On this occasion though there were a few blunders that were quite annoying. Important main meals were unavailable on the menu and my pizza was rather lacking in flavour, soggy and little in the way of toppings.My wife ordered Seafood Risotto and was actually served Mushroom Risotto instead which she reluctantly had to accept. That was OK but the risotto was very runny and fairly disappointing. She was not offered bread to mop up. All in all not a very successful visit. A cosy spot for really great authentic Italian food. We visited La Lupa then went to Rome and Naples and the food at La Lupa is very similar to typical Roman food. We were there again last weekend and the food and service were spot on. Cheers!

Certainly the best pizza I had in Australia. This Italian restaurant knows well how to make a traditional Italian pizza with the greatest ingredients. The staff was skilled and precise making the whole experience even more special. I would suggest the salumiera for a meat eater, you won’t regret.
