I’ve been here two times, 1st time my experience was great, a big variety of sushi and the ramen was amazing, good service too! Second time was terrible, almost no sushi on the sushi train and extremely slow service. Waited 30+ minutes for sashimi.

Visiting a “Live Sushi Train” was long pending on my list and finally we visited Katsu Sushi Train Beecroft NSW for a mid-week lunch. The prices are reasonable…. taste is good…. preparations are fresh. However it was a lean business weekday and restaurant was less crowded…. so many of the Sushi varieties were not presented on Live Sushi Train but these were available immediately upon request. It’s a must experience outlet for everyone who likes Sushi, Sashimi & Nigiri. We also ordered a Chicken Ramen Lunch bowl purely out of our foodie greed and we didn’t regret that either. The positivity vide of restaurant and smiling appearance of chef and staff needs a separate mention. Overall Ambiance is Soothing with an option for open-air dining also available.

Quality of their sushi is average and I didn’t see much variety on the train. If there was a menu where you could place orders it would have been better.

Small sushi train restaurants, family owned and run. The food was so-so, unfortunately some would have been sitting there for a while, especially the fried dishes (spring rolls and potatoe croquettes that we had were soft, cold and soggy).

The worst place to order delivery. I spent $100 worth of food to have everything taste horrible and definitely not worth the price. I ordered katsu curry don which was 90% just rice with barely any sauce and it was very bland. The teriyaki salmon don barely had any salmon and most of it was also rice. The small sushi set which was $24 was filled with a few pieces of sushi and was not worth the price. Overall, the food presentation was horrible, taste was bland and nothing was worth the price.

Great sushi train with a great variety of fresh sushi and sashimi. The mixed salmon and tuna poke bowl is also amazing. Friendly staff and great service.

Shop owners/Chef are Chinese, spoke Mandarin and Cantonese. I wonder the authenticity of the food standards – Japanese or Chinese ? Though the taste of the noodles I ordered was okay, but it’s a bit expensive to eat in a place I won’t call comfortable at all.

Good deal for lunch $15.5 with a rice bowl, miso soup and a dish of plate u see $3.8 but too watery in katsu. The deco was nice. The soup is run by chinese.

The result of attempting to serve Japanese food when the “chef” has no idea what it should taste like. Ramen was instant noodles and simple things like rice was just wrong and inedible. Cheapest ingredients possible. Highly suitable for people who don’t care what Japanese food should taste like.
