Really bad. Passive service, a guy didn’t even ask if we’re eating in or having takeaway, we sat but they still packed takeaway in unnecessary plastic + without ginger, wasabi and soy sause. It made us really uncomfortable so we walked out. I wasn’t rude or whatever, there was no reason to serve me this way.

The Kashiwa Restaurant has a lot to offer, from every single time we have been there we haven’t been disappointed. Have been back atleast 3 times (twice lunch and once dinner) on separate occasions and could not fault their food. Staff is always usually friendly, atmosphere is calm and peaceful, although the Restaurant is quite small it has never been too much of an issue.

Nice style and cozy. I was disappointed with level of detail in food. Looks good but basic as rice is not at the standard quality. If I was serve this at the food court then I accept it but not at the restaurant premises with higher standards.

If you’d like to pay tasteless meal for $20-30(Highly overpriced), this is the place you must visit 🙂 I think the chef is not a trained chef. Not even commis. My apprentice chef would easily produce better meal than here.

You know it’s not authentic Japanese service by the greeting, tossing the menus on the table, and a dirty tea pot for the green tea. I had the tempura udon. I’ve never had tempura shrimp with the shell and head still on. The head didn’t taste great, so I left it. And the sweet potato slightly underdone. But other than that, it was ok.
