Had a look at the menu on Kanakawa website and found what we wanted. Ordered takeaway and ordered over the phone for pick up. Went to pick up food and the price was much more than we were expecting. We checked the menu in store for prices and noticed that they were more expensive than online. We asked the store and they were aware that the pricing online was different but they didn’t seem to care.

Worst service and long wait time and food not spectacular we only ordered sushi and some entrees, took ages to get our food the fact that it wasn’t even busy. Not a pleasant experience as per other review, it feels like we’re interrupting them pretending to look really busy.Tables sticky and look really untidy.

Sashimi was dry. Sliced the thickness of pork chops. Beef in the poke bowl was the texture of boot leather. Most of the bowl was gluggy rice. Avocado salad was missing. When we called they argued it wasn’t on our order but we had a printed receipt listing items and we were charged for it. Bad food. Poor service.

Our first time trying this place. Just had home delivery. Food arrived luke warm. Portion sizes were small and we all thought it was over priced. Flavours were bland and the curry was like watered down soup. Sorry to say, but we felt we wasted our money tonight and felt disappointed with our meals.

Visited with my wife on Friday. Nice place, very tasty food, especially octopus chilli. I’ve never eaten so tasty and right prepared octopus. Quite a lot of people on Friday night, so booking is recommended. Surely we will come back.
