Social Profile:

Welcome to the Kallista Tea Rooms – a beautiful art deco inspired building completed in 1949, serving modern Australian local, organic cuisine. At Kallista Tea Rooms we like to honour the old and value the new. We pair old traditions such as High Tea and Devonshire Tea with ingredients sprung from new values – Organic and fair trade coffee, local organic honey, tea and free range meats to name a few. We aren’t just tea, however. Come and enjoy some of the brilliant fresh produce we serve on our seasonal menus, paired with wines and beers sourced from the Yarra Valley and surrounding areas. We can also cater to functions.

High tea & cafe meals in a relaxed art deco space with large windows & leafy surroundings.

Amazing!! I’ve passed here so many times and finally decided to stop by. The food quality was amazing and so fresh and delicious! Beautiful coffee. It was freezing but we sat outside because it was so so beautiful. I’ve been disappointed by a few places out this way recently, but I am so happy I’ve found our new regular. Only regret is I never tried it earlier!

I have had blueberry cheesecake and my wife and our friends had baklava cheesecake, both of them were extremely delicious, and unique, and my cappuccino was great too. Beautiful atmosphere, and perfect service. They have just sit on the top of my “where to go list”. Keep up the good work guys.

The tea rooms had been recommended to us & we’d been told to leave room for scones. So we opted for a lamb salad each for lunch – delicious sauces with pops of sweetness from pomegranate & crunch from the green beans & pistachio.

Loved the cute tea house, even the toilet was cute and historical. Hehehe. The wonderful wide windows gave a good view. Had excellent and varied breakfast options. Not just eggs but proper meal for brekkie too. Loved the cakes. They had Gluten free and dairy free cakes. The macaroons were to die for and the pistachio raspberry cake was gorgeous. Big serving size!

The food was great. Loved the corn fritters. Very tasty. Unfortunately it was a cold day and we had to sit outside. It was very busy.

We love the Kallista Tea Rooms. The Art Deco building always lends a beautiful ambiance to our dining experience. Today my daughter in-law and I experienced the High tea + a beautiful bottle of Prosecco. Everything was delicious and the table setting was so pretty decorated with scattered origami butterflies and a crane made of colourful paper. We couldn’t finish all the food and the lovely waitress popped what we couldn’t eat into a cake box to take home. There will be no dinner for us tonight that’s for sure. Thank you to the beautiful Kallista Tea Room family for making a morning so special.

What a wonderful experience! Our go to spot is closed on Tuesdays so we decided to branch out, and I’m so glad we did. The birds outside the window was a nice touch, perfect for all ages. The food and service were great as well – I was about to ask for a paper bag for the scone we couldn’t finish and we were given a box with a fresh set of cream and jam – how thoughtful!! Highly recommended.

We arrived at around 2pm and the place was packed for lunch. We only had an hour to spare and were seated fairly quickly. Got a quick order of dish of the day and served in 10 minutes. We were out in 40 min and were happy and full. This place is also famous for their tea and scones made on the spot. Highly recommended.
