Well I don’t pretend to be an expert in Japanese food but Ichiban Sushi is really the bomb! Terrific vibe, super busy and for a good reason. The food is fantastic, fresh, flavoursome and some of the best that I’ve tasted. The service is friendly, efficient and it’s fascinating to watch the chefs at work from the seats at the bar. Overall a great place, whether for a quick work lunch, with friends, your kids or anyone who loves great food.

Came here for the first time today! It is such a clean, fancy looking, beautiful interior, with fast customer service and of course the conveyer belt of sushi in the middle of the restaurant. We tried the Karaage and Katsu Chicken bentos, along with the prawn gyoza, miso soup, and honey soy Karaage chicken. The food was hot, fresh, delicious and some of the best I’ve had at a sushi chain! Definitely recommend visiting and trying their all out bento boxes, has everything you need! Not sure if others would find the price high (all their plates on the conveyer are $4.60) and our bentos were between $20-23, but the quality of the food and its preparation are worth it. Will definitely go back again and try the teriyaki chicken bento box

Wow, what a letdown! Came here craving some good sushi and left super disappointed as if I flushed my money down the toilet. The “crispy” chicken was a soggy wet mess like a cheap microwave meal, off the belt or ordered “fresh”, another spicy chicken was like it was freeze dried hard and dry.

This is one of the best sashimi I have had in a long time. Super yummy! They were very busy at lunch time but were very efficient. Normally I don’t like tuna or salmon when it is too fishy tasting. But this place had fresh fish and loved it so much I had about 4 plates to myself. The place looks cozy and was great. I will be coming back again.

One of the nicest sushi trains that I’ve been to. It is conveniently located, in Brisbane CBD. It is also open later than other places (which is one of the main reasons I came).

Loved this place. I didn’t have the sushi but instead I had the chicken teriyaki rice bowl which comes with vegetables and salad. It was excellent. Service was ok, booth seating is cool and prices are reasonable A good selection of Japanese beers but they are short of plum and peach wines. We did find one of a very small size as in the photo Popular. Worth a second visit.

Pretty good. Easy to order freshly made dishes through the touchpad. Really great getting the aburi salmon and aburi scallop as it was still warm and freshly flamed. Really delicious. Friendly service and great price also.

Situated above the busy Queen Street Mall, is Ichiban Sushi. Featuring both a sushi train and seated service, each table is set up for self ordering using the tablets placed on each table. I love this option as it allows you to order as many times as you wish at your leisure whenever you wish. The order is sent to the kitchen who begins preparing your food and brought out by the staff when ready. There’s minimal wait.
