Ichi is such a wonderful Japanese restaurant to dine in. Staff are so friendly, the food is amazing and very fresh. It’s even more authentic than the ones we had in Japan. The background music just bring our memory back to Japan. Highly recommend, 10/10.

Spontaneously visited this place (didn’t make a booking) while in Port Macquarie. Loved that the waitress was Japanese—she was delighted when my husband spoke Japanese perfectly. The food came out quickly and it tasted so good.

The food here is so bizarre and overpriced. Vegetable tempura is not crispy at all. Udon average. The fried pork fillet is probably one of the worst I have ever tasted and it cost over $30!!! What a rip off. Can not wait to go back to Sydney to try some authentic japense food.

I go here as often as I can and it might just be the best restaurant in Port Macquarie. You are absolutely paying for the quality of the food, it is absolutely divine and the service is brilliant. The staff are welcoming, talkative and have a keen eye (noticed a person I was with dropped something and within a few seconds a new set of cutlery was on the table). I quite often find myself spending just short of $100 when dining here because I just want to try everything. I highly highly recommend this divine restaurant.

Fantastic experience dining at Ichi restaurant tonight. Food was delicious and highly authentic, and the quality of the service offered was superb. The salmon sashimi was fresh and beautifully prepared. We also ordered a number of sides and mains which were all simply exceptional. Staff were thoroughly attentive and engaging and even provided us some recommendations for our stay in Port Macquarie!

Chanced visit – so glad they could fit us in as we didn’t have a booking – but we promised to eat fast. What a simple but unique and tasty menu! It’s great to see tacowasa and yaki onigiri, the temari sushi was also fab. Wish we could stay longer and try and sake tasting. Also like that they use the empty sake/whisky bottles as vases – nice subtle touch to remind customers what’s on offer.
