Would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. The steak was lube warm at best with the marbled fat already solidified when served. The chips were cold. Curtis Stone would’ve said it was a total waste of a premium cut. The staff were rude and slid the plates across the table rather than placing them down. You get better service from the juniors at Maccas compared to these people they got off the streets. A real pity. The other Hog’s Cafes in other states were all so good!

To start with, chips were cold and staff were rude. The food is very expensive for what we got which didn’t taste good at all. The price doesn’t match the seats, they are so uncomfortable as they are hard and made with wood. To be paying $50 for a average steak that you could get some where else for $20 is terrible. The staff rolled their eyes at us while paying. The women has an attitude as well. The extra bowl of chips was tiny. This restaurant is supposed to be suited for a family but how can a family afford this? Every time we come to Hogs it’s more and more expensive. We ordered an Ice Cream (was two scoops but the scoops looked deformed) after our main meal and the waitress put slid it on to the dirty plate that the main was on moments ago. Very unsatisfied about this experience, definitely wouldn’t go back and wouldn’t recommend.

Absolutely appalling. NEVER GO HERE. We had an INSANELY BAD experience here. My family came to hogs to celebrate my 16 year old cousins birthday. There were 11 of us. We came at 6.30, at around 7 we were offered drinks. They came ages after we ordered. We also order food around that time and at 8.30 nothing had arrived. My aunt went up to see where our food was but all she got from the staff was a shrug of the shoulders. At around 8 we went up to see where our food was and for the next half an hour we were told over and over it was coming and wouldn’t be too long. It got to a point where my aunt said we were going to cancel the order but the staff said it was coming out really soon so we sat back down and waited. At nearly 9pm (2 HOURS AFTER WE ORDERED) we were told that our order had been cancelled???? My cousins birthday was absolutely ruined she was crying and the staff were LAUGHING at her. We asked for the manager to come out several, several times but he never did until it was past 8.30 (when they close) and he told us it was cancelled and that we need to pay for our drinks and go. We obviously were very upset and did not want to pay due to the incompetence of the staff, the wait and the rudeness of the staff. He told us to get the F out. The audacity of this AH is insane. New management is needed asap.

Can’t go wrong with this place. Fun and casual place to dine, offering great scotch fillets and entrees. The kids ofcourse love the curly fries as I’m sure most do. Great location and although I love the rustic interior design, it wouldn’t hurt to do a bit of an upgrade. Service here has been consistent.

I used to be a frequent diner at Hog’s Breath, but since the Holden Hill and Gouger Street restaurants closed, I had not been for many years! So my partner and I decided to come to the Glenelg restaurant for old times sake. The menu was still the same, offering their prime rib steak menu and our favourite side – the curly fries! My partner ordered the natural prime rib traditional cut (300g) and I ordered the calamari prime rib lite cut (200g); we both ordered medium rare. Both steaks were good, but not as amazing as we remember. Little bit chewy but still had good flavours and tenderness. They were very generous offering at least 6 pieces of calamari rings on my steak. The curly fries and creamy mushroom sauce were still delicious, and the boss hog mushrooms we had for entree was very good too. My partner had the caesar salad which he thoroughly enjoyed. I had the house salad which had a lot of rocket, which I am not a big fan of, so unfortunately did not enjoy the salad. Service was fantastic and food came out quite quickly too!

In my personal opinion, and according to our experience The food did not have the good flavor that we expected, none of the food was good and we ordered 5 different food. My husband ordered salmon and something burnt arrived, but he still ate it. I ordered a medium well meat and it arrived medium raw, but ok, I ate it even though it was not what I had ordered and the mashed potato had a very ugly taste;
