The dishes were superb, Great Taste, Great Size Great Price, Great Atmosphere, Service was good but it can get very uncomfortable having one of the servers standing just across from you watching you eat basically your whole meal. Loved looking at all the things on the wall As busy as it looks It’s actually really cool. We will definitely be back, And I suggest anyone else to and check this place out

What an interesting experience. It’s like visiting an eclectic museum and a restaurant at the same time. There is so much kitsch everywhere. You can I uld spend hours trying to see it all from the Vietnamese transport bicycles to spoon collections to plants shaped like fans. We ate a combination roll your own rice paper rolls with bamboo prawn sticks, beef wrapped in betel leaf, and some other sides. It was really good. I confirmed that I am hopeless at making my own but really good at eating them. We ran out of pork and asked for more. We got a decent amount for five dollars. We also tried the passionfruit drink, which was really good. I’d highly recommend this place for the atmosphere, great food and for the very good service. Staff were very attentive and accommodating.

Went for dinner on Monday with my friends and all the flavours were really well balanced, we especially loved the Vietnamese sour soup with prawns! The desserts size is very generous, we’re so full by the end.

Many who have visited Hải Âu Làng Nướng in Canley Vale will rave about how this restaurant makes you feel like you’re overseas, eating in the streets of Vietnam. 100% true. Having grown up in the Canley area, Hải Âu is our community’s pride and joy. Drive past on a weekend evening and you’ll hear passionate karaoke, the emphatic strums of an electric guitar, and loud background Vietnamese chatter in the air. You’ll smell the delightful scent of meat and shellfish cooking over charcoal.
