We visit this cafe often. The menu isn’t extensive, but everything on the menu is wonderful. The coffee is excellent and the toasties and the cakes are excellent. What makes this small cafe a standout however is the staff. We visit with an elderly and somewhat difficult relative, all of the staff are always obliging, helpful and friendly.

You know when you find one of those places where you just feel comfortable and relaxed in. Well, this is it. Plenty of seating and capitalises on the geese in town – which are a tourist attraction in their own right. Locals will tell you the stories behind the geese. Now I don’t know if they are true or not but who cares? It’s fun to speculate.

Had a sign up stating that a surchage would apply to card payments, but none of the staff had any idea how much the surcharge was! They also tried to tell me it applied to credit card payments only, which was not correct, as I was charged for my debit card payment, The young waitress also seemed to indicate that I should know the difference between an iced coffee and an iced latte, as though that should be obvious to me, when I asked for ice cream in my iced latte. Other than that, it was good, although my experience was somewhat marred by the above.
