Bertie and I arrived in Mudgee thirsty and wanting a snack. So, after a few beers, we hit the local Chinese, and we were not disappointed. The prawn toast was toasty prawny sesame goodness, and the special dumplings (10 for $2.00) had to be the best upsell I have heard in a while and done with a smile courtesy of Cindy. The mains are delicious: pork and squid special (peppery and tasty), crispy-skinned chicken and special fried rice. Fried ice cream dessert and that’s a wrap…get your lips around this place.

Every year on my birthday my mum would ask me where I wanted to eat for dinner. 25years later Golden Dragon is still my first choice. Once again I have eaten wayyyyy to much of their fantastic food but I regret nothing. Lovely and happy waitress made us feel welcome and at home. 10/10 will continue to get fat here.

Outstanding service and very generous food servings. Went with my elderly mother and father. Ordered a wine that wasn’t quite right, I asked about it, and the waitress immediately replaced it and offered me two other wines to taste without charge – so rare to find in restaurants these days! Go and visit, well worth it.

Very understated Chinese restaurant in the main part of town. Staff were so friendly and their service was above and beyond. The food was absolutely delicious. Nothing was a bother… as vegetarians we were offered dishes not on the menu… we ended up having to take leftovers with us due to the serving size… and this was again no bother…

We were travelling through Mudgee and stopped over went to the Chinese Dragon for dinner. Wow the food and service were amazing. It was so good we will make sure we stop over Mudge just to have an exquisite meal here. Thank you so much.

Just had dinner what an amazing experience. The food was great, the helpings huge and the service was outstanding. Our server was friendly, provided games for our toddler, and was just lovely overall. We could not get through all the food which was tasty and generous in size. Thank you for a lovely experience celebrating our wedding anniversary, what a find in Mudgee, highly recommended.
