let me start off by saying this is my favorite place to eat. this humble little cafe is nothing fancy but i would personally choose to eat here over crumb. the food is fresh, tasty and hot. they accommodate any requests and are super friendly. 10/10

Decided to have breakfast here at GJ’s Bay Cafe and Grill but had trouble finding the place! The sign out the front has ‘Kitchen on the Bay’ on it and out the back it’s called GJ’s so that should be fixed!

Not great experience. There was a long queue which took a while. Coffee was average (like Nescafé packets) while the food wasn’t worth the wait. Ordered the eggs Benedict’s expecting my eggs to be nicely cooked they were overdone and hard boiled (see pic). I would have sent it back but it was too busy and we wanted to explore the beaches as already had a long delay waiting for the food.

A disappointing experience at an otherwise promising cafe. We ordered our food and one meal arrived before the other (there were 2 of us). This would have been fine except the people who ordered after us got their food at the same time after we received our first meal, and one of the meals they ordered was the exact same as the meal we were waiting on. We had to ask if our food was on the way, and when it arrived the flavour was very disappointing and managed to get through about half of it. Very easy to bring two people’s food out at the same time, and that simple thing could have made all the difference. This was the second time this has happened. Unfortunately will not be dining here again.
