My partner and i recently visited Gino’s for dinner, and as always it was fantastic. I have been dining at Gino’s for at least 20 years(on average once or twice a year) ,and i can honestly say they have always been great.

This was disappointing really. We had booked a table but needn’t have bothered, the place was pretty empty and they weren’t very welcoming. Service was fine but the food wasn’t very good – the pizza was below average although the pasta was slightly better. We had garlic bread for starters and it was literally bread with garlic butter spread on top then heated. Pretty average for an Italian restaurant. It was a Saturday night, but within 30 seconds of our leaving shortly after 9pm, they had the lights out at the front of the place and were closing up.

Not one for negative reviews, but wow, worst gnocchi bolognese ever. Should have read all the other negative reviews first. I have never, ever felt so displeased while eating in a restaurant. Sauce was tasteless and dry. Hardly any gnocchi. Gnocchi was served with a spoon? Presentation was pathetic at best. Left the place hungry and disappointed, (and quite frankly angry) only to find three fantastic looking Italian restaurants around the corner. In hotel room eating cheese and biscuits from Coles to fill the void while writing this review.
