We are visiting from interstate and were in the area when we felt like having a local Chinese meal. Not expecting much, we were blown away by the attention to detail of the decor and cleanliness, and impressed with the service and food. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, the food we ordered (hot and sour soup, salt and pepper tofu and seafood sizzling claypot) was fresh and delicious! We would highly recommend this place and definitely come back again.

Australianese. If you are tempted to dine in or take away from Fortuna, do not stray outside of traditional Australianese cuisine, i.e., honey King prawns, sweet and sour pork, lemon chicken and special fried rice. All dishes mentioned are mediocre at best. That said, it’s worth dining in for the decor and also not unusual to find locals dining in with an esky full of beers.

Ordered a delivery chinese this evening. Originally I was told 25 mins for delivery. This changed 3 times with it been 55 mins. The food was cold and the chicken in the “chicken & egg fried rice” was black.

Unfortunately it was a very poor dish that I was served, vegetable chow mein, it was tasteless with three shreds of carrot and one shrivelled pea, the noodles were dry and tasteless, a waste of money. my friends also had very disappointing meals. The restaurant was almost empty with many staff but not much service. Too many eateries around to run such a poor establishment and a land mark of Scarborough.
