Today 50 people from our Resort had the pleasure of dining at “Encore at the Empire”Restaurant and I can assure you it was delicious. The food and presentation were really something special, with the WOW factor thrown in.I can assure you, it was delightful.

Service was great, lovely staff. We booked Encores specifically for the duck on the menu for our anniversary dinner. It was over cooked like a dry Coles chicken leg. I did politely give my feedback when asked how the meals were as I wanted to be honest and said it was dry and over cooked. I ate 2 bites of the duck and my partner tried it also agreeing. I pulled it apart thinking the inside might be ok, unfortunately not so I did not eat it and the lady took our plates away. The feedback I received from the lady was that they were having a supply issue, and not offered anything else. My feedback would be to take it off the menu rather than serve over cooked duck if you knew the quality was not there and charge $56 for it. We paid $171, to leave very disheartened. The lady beside us was talking about how she wasn’t enjoying her meal either. Potentially an off night for the chef. But put a damper to our anniversary dinner and pocket.

Was recommended by a friend and had been there for lunch once before (ordered barramundi) and it was good and delicious. Decided to go back again for dinner (3 courses) and wanted to try the eye fillet – medium rare. I have to say that I am very disappointed. I am no expert when it comes to cooking steak, but an eye fillet is supposed to be one of the tenderest cuts of the meat and should have less connective tissue or veins. However, my eye fillet is full of “tissue/veins” and it is very tough to chew. I was thinking maybe it was just a certain part of the fillet, but it turns out the whole piece was hard to cut and chew.

Delightful dining experience, considerably the best so far I’ve had in Toowoomba. Service is on point. The food were above average, the beef cheek is incredibly tender and the lamb cutlet was cooked to perfection. Good value.

Went in to get a gift voucher and was told they only do online vouchers now that I needed to print of myself. They then charge a processing fee for this inconvenience. You’ve lost my business. I don’t want to gift a home printed voucher or pay a processing fee. How hard is it to have vouchers available in store for those who want to give a nice gift??
