Suspect this is a place the locals would frequent (we were interstate visitors). We went for breakfast based on Google reviews. Tucked away in a hole in the wall, we literally sat around a rustic kitchen island with the Chef in his element. Didn’t really order off a menu, just had a chat with the chef and he whipped up some bacon and eggs, omlette, fritters etc… Good coffee too! Loved the vibe there

Quaint little cafe ran by Ed and Peter. Food, atmosphere and service is absolutely amazing. Whether you want some quiet time and great coffee or a great chat with the guys and amazing food, this is definitely the place to go. Will definitely be back the next time I’m in Hobart.

Corn fritters were a real standout. Also the muffin, holy moly, so light and fluffy and crispy on top.

Incredible, had perfect mushroom omlette and a carrot cake muffin. Generous portions and good value. A hidden gem of Hobart. Like eating in a friends kitchen. Small family operation. Went 6 months ago and had to double check and yep, the best meal of the trip. Coffee really good too.

The restaurant I always dreamed of. Small but powerful. Bolognese was so rich and handmade pasta was amazingly delicious. Coffee… Was like heaven. Would visit again soon.

Enjoyed the latte n mocha. Amazing carbonara and meatballs. Friendly service and interesting to see the chef in action. Sitting space is undeniably limited.

I have seen the amazing reviews, but went there for my 1st time. Even though I ordered on the street(hole in wall), I was asked if it was to “have here or take away”. Fair enough, but I wanted to sit on the stools outside, so I replied “To have here”. So I got ours in take away cups.

Couldn’t recommend Ed’s highly enough. Coffee was the best we’ve had in Australia – nice and strong. And the food was made fresh in front of us while we were entertained with some great yarns. One of the highlights of our trip to Hobart and will definitely be coming back.
