Our original plan was to reach Phillip Island and have lunch, but since our 4 year old was getting “hangry”, we decided to have lunch at Koo Wee Rup. We spotted Degani and having gone to other Deganis in Melbourne, we thought this was a safe choice. We were not disappointed! The two ladies – one managing the cash register and the other serving the table – were both so friendly and great at their job. We were provided with a high chair for the kid. Food was brought promptly. The serving size was just perfect and tasty. My schnitzel burger was nice and freshly made. The carbonara pasta was so good, that our hungry kid devoured it. We ordered a second one! Overall, great experience… Great service… Great food. Paid $18 for a beetroot and feta salad..Salad looked like a $2 bag of mixed salad from the supermarket with a few lousy slices of beetroot from a can. A bit of feta on top.. Pathetic and not worth half the price. It looked like a side salad.. I was most disappointed. The Koo Wee Rup Degani appears to be under new management. Disappointed with the new menu and even more disappointed with the food. We ordered the chicken wrap and BLT. Both were tasteless and lacking chicken in the wrap and bacon in the BLT.

I wish I could leave 0 stars. They charge a premium for a “big breakfast” but give 1 tiny piece of bacon, heaps of eggs (because they are cheap) and burn the toast. Then decide to stuff up our order…. and the rude manager still decides charge us the difference.Save your money and burn your toast at home if your considering eating here.I wish I could leave 0 stars.
