Nothing posh about this place just good fish & chips. Ate in at the casual tables on the busy street front. All brought to our table wrapped in paper not in fancy boxes or baskets. Decent size tubs of tomato sauce, tartare sauce etc available for purchase. Fully licensed so enjoyed a cold beer too. Fish & chips like it used to be. Well salted, crumbed fish, and nice calamari, lemon wedges. It’s definitely a fish & chip shop not a café/restaurant! Great.

On day visit, we thought being by the sea we would have fresh chips, calamari and burger with the works. Don’t waste your time or your hard earnt money people

Me and my partner both got the fish, chips and drink meal, very good value and tasted brilliant! Very shocked at some of the other reviews on here as our time here was very different.

After many years of quality fish and chips, the last while has gone down hill. Once crisp and clean has now become oily and yellow. Local custom lost.

One star is way to good, cos we didn’t even get our food. We were rudely and abruptly told by some man in the back that there would be a 30 minute wait for breakfast. This was after he had ordered someone else from the back to take over the female taking our order mid way through. Staff didn’t seem to know prices on their own menu and we ended up telling them the prices. After waiting for over 30 minutes, the milkshake we had ordered finally turned up. After waiting for over 40 minutes, we decided to cancel our food order as we had to leave, we couldn’t wait all day. The first female didn’t seem to understand that we were wanting a refund on our meals and the male who took over charged us for our meals instead of refunding. Luckily we noticed other wise we would have been out of pocket twice, and no food to show for it.

I’ve gotta say its been a while since I’ve had bloody good fish and chips and after only living in QLD for a year now this is by far the BEST fish and chips I have had in a long time.

What kind of fish and chip shop stops serving food at 7pm on a Saturday night?

Read other reviews and thought would try…. We ordered Fisherman’s basket for one….. grilled fish was like a piece of fish steamed …prawns , fish bites and calamari were very brown (think a change of oil necessary)chips were average…. Would not return…..

I read the reviews and was very wary but limited options on Easter Monday so took a chance and glad I did. Crumbed cod was nice and juicy ( not the hugest piece of fish I’ve had) crumbed seafood sticks were absolutely lovely chips were good. Huge serving. Got large and was way too much for 4 of us. Hawaiian burger was huge and delicious and the girl at the counter was really friendly. I’ll add that the bacon was picked off by a picky teen before I took the photo of the burger so it’s not the greatest photo
