Our group of 8 went on a Friday night. We were seated after about 5 minutes and then waited 2.5 hours for food. There was one girl on the floor and one behind the bar absolutely flat out. We felt awful for the girls and were very understanding but the 2.5 hour wait was enough to deter us from visiting again or recommending the place to anyone else. The food was good but no different to any other Chinese food.

SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY AND DO NOT COME TO THIS ATROCIOUS RESTAURANT. My partner and I had the worst experience I’ve ever had at any restaurant, and particularly with the woman shown in the photo. We had ordered a Laksa and when it arrived, it was nothing like an actual Laksa. It was watery and did not taste like what an authentic Laksa would taste like. Besides that, it did not taste good at all. It tasted so bad and was so far from an actual Laksa that my partner decided to complain, which is the right of any customer. Once my partner had expressed his concerns to the woman, she was instantly defensive and rude. She constantly denied that it was bad and repeated “It is not my problem. You do not know what a Laksa should taste like.” I told her that my partner was a chef so he would most certainly know what it should taste like and that it doesn’t take an expert to know that their dish was nothing like a Laksa. Her response to us was “Do you know how to cook a Laksa? If so, go to the kitchen and go cook it”. I was astounded by her audacity. Any employee or owner who talks to their customers that way when their customers are giving feedback and telling them that their dish is not up to standard (and basically inedible) is a fool. She constantly said “I do not accept your feedback”.

We were just passing through Jindabyne and looking for somewhere to eat on a Monday evening when we stumbled upon this place – so glad that we did! Really exceeded expectations with the sweet and sour chicken, stirfry beef in bean sauce and fried rice! Service was also super friendly and helpful. Don’t be deterred by its quieter facade – I was really pleasantly surprised and would recommend to anyone!

It’s a Chinese restaurant, foods always pretty great, eftpos is always down unless they like you so bring cash as a backup, pretty expensive but good serving sizes for the most part. Few hairs every once and a while in food but adds flavour. Best damn squid you can buy though.
