We had a wonderful high tea at Chapter and Verse. It’s a very competitive price compared to other options on the Gold Coast, the food was all absolutely delicious and they catered well to a variety of dietary requirements. The staff were lovely and service was excellent – our glasses were always full, they made Mum feel very special on her birthday by singing and bringing out a special birthday plate, and we were made to feel as though we could stay as long as we wanted. Highly recommend!

We went for high tea and were not disappointed. The staff were accommodating and so friendly they were making rounds frequently to make sure everyone was happy and getting what they ordered. It’s been a long time since we’ve had an outing like that and it can be a bit daunting with a 16 month old but she seemed to enjoy it too and one of the staff at the end even packed her leftover snacks so we could take it, without being asked!!! We had the nicest high tea arrangement and probably ordered more then necessary but it was all delicious! We were full till dinner! It’s a very pretty place to sit and enjoy your food and drink as it is located in the Marriott, would definitely want to stay there some time and when we are up visiting the Goldcoast will make chapter and verse our regular brunch or lunch destination!

Comfortable atmosphere with good food and drinks. The JW Burger was tasty (fries lacked flavor and were so-so). Yellowtail Kingfish Ceviche had a nice tangy dressing – very Thai like flavors. Freshly brewed unsweetened iced tea made at the bar hit the spot. Resort prices so charge to the room and leave it at that. Service was attentive and friendly.

Situated in the JW Marriott pool side, this is a great spot to listen to music, smash a couple of cocktails and enjoy a nice bar meal. We had the calamari and the truffle arancini balls. The calamari was melt in the mouth and sooo good. The arancini was another great dish and the truffle aioli hits the spot. The highlight for us was the live music with a chap playing some great covers. Very cool spot to hit especially when you first arrive at the resort after a long flight.

Great little bar inside the Marriott. Service was excellent and the pizzas were very good and had generous amounts of the key ingredient. Bonus for having Asahi Dry Black on the beer menu!!
