At first I wasn’t sure if they were open, very glad I entered though. Cafe was very clean , music not too loud, staff were welcoming, The cafe links through to the cycle shop next door, which is interesting in itself.

The team at Cafe de Velo were amazing! We have some tricky dietary requirements in our family and we called ahead to see what options were available. The team were super helpful and gave me some ideas, they even went the extra step and wrote out a list of options for us to chose from as alternatives. Such a lovely place to have lunch here. Staff were very friendly, always serving with a smile, and I especially love that they have fresh juices too! I had the detox juice and it was simply devine! I forgot to mention to them not to add in the ice, and when asked if they could pour out the ice, they even filled it to the brim for me. Such a lovely gesture ☺️. Thank you!

Very lovely brownies and carrot cake. Customer service proved to be great. Had some errors in an order that was promptly and kindly rectified by the manager. Anyone can make a mistake, not everyone cares enough to correct it in such a lovely manner. Staff are very attentive to all customers and kind but professional and efficient.

Great food! Very healthy, although a bit on the expensive side for the size of the meals. Service was very slow and they were not entirely sure what the meals were when they brought them out. I finished my breakfast before my coffee came. The first of us to order also was the last to get their meal, which was the easiest of the lot too. Overall, I’ll give it another shot, but definitely not the place to go if you’re in a hurry

We had a really nice meal here, plenty of flavour and well presented, service was good, friendly staff. Whoever thought to put bacon cheese and avo in a sourdough toastie is a genius!! Hubby loved his stir fry veg and cauli too, delicious. Cake cabinet looked great but I will have to come back for that another time. Very good atmosphere and clean.

We thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast there this morning. Our meals and drinks were delivered quite promptly after we’d ordered and the staff were all very friendly. Plenty of indoor seating which is perfect for those cooler Toowoomba mornings. The cake cabinet looked full of delicious cakes and slices…we may just have to pop back in for morning tea.

When a friend invited me to home grown I was reluctant at first. I figured it would be all sandal weaving hippies and pompous vegans who would shame me for looking at any sort of non soy based food. However it is a great little spot. The small shop front betrays the huge size of the indoor cafe.
