Service was a bit slow today, but they were very busy and short staffed, so to be expected. HUGE menu!!! Maybe a bit too big if I’m totally honest. But my pasta dish was divine, and I lived that I could get a smaller sized serve which was perfect for me.

First timer here with a large group. Accommodated us well. I will admit their menu can be overwhelming but that’s because there’s so much to choose from. I ended up taking the easy route and got their fish and chips deal. It came with a lemonade which was so refreshing!!! I was more shocked at the amount of tartar sauce it came with. Let’s be real, a lot of places never give you nearly enough, ever. Or they charge you for it. The meal portion was smaller than I expected but reasonable for the deal as it came with a drink. The fish tasted fresh and not only were they generous with the tartar, wow the flavour of it was amazing. Shoelace chips complemented it well.

This place deserves three-and-a-half stars since my experience hovers between okay and good. I did enjoy my lunch at Cafè 63 but the meal I devoured (liver & bacon on mashed potato with onion gravy and carrots) gave me the impression it had been warmed up / microwaved, rather than cooked fresh. How do I come to this conclusion I hear you ask? Quite simply, I’ve cooked the meal I had from fresh myself and had it warmed up the next day too, and there is a notable difference in texture and flavour between the two servings. My meal had all the hallmarks of the warmed up meal.

Terrible service. Took a seat and waited for someone to take our order, no staff around and waited over 15 minutes, before deciding to order takeaway. Still had to wait a long time for someone to serve us. Ordered a breakfast deal, wrap, coffee, biscuit and a bottle of water to be included. Had to ask for the bottle of water before leaving, staff member seemed annoyed that we asked. Then asked for the biscuit and was even more annoyed. Wrap was dry and had no sauce. Obviously understaffed for the day.

Popped in the afternoon to have some coffee and cake. Warmly welcomed straight away and shown to a table. The desserts menu was lengthy making the decision more difficult. Settled on a lemon meringue and a maccadamia cheesecake and coffee of course. They were both really well made and the coffee was great.

Great choice of foods. Food comes out hot and generally quickly. Customer service is lacking and tables are too close together. Particularly when the outdoor area is for Customers with dogs and there is minimal space to walk between tables. Signage at front Is lacking to inform customers of where to go to get a table and staff don’t smile or appear to greet customers. Overall with a few small changes this cafe has potential.

Took my son for his birthday breakfast, very disappointed. I ordered the French toast with strawberries and banana. Seems there is a massive shortage on fruit, I say poor effort! The deal breaker for me was watching one of the wait staff pat a dog (dog friendly cafe) then continue to get glassware/cutlery, deliver customers coffees all without washing his hands. On leaving the premise when I paid, I did tell the person who took my $40 odd dollars for our two meals, her response “sometimes when we’re so busy we just forget” Um, NOT good enough! I will not eat there again!
