It all started in a decrepit 1920s building on Brunswick Street, New Farm. Known as ‘The Avalon’, it was an abode to a motley crew of artists, prostitutes, gentry and drug dealers. Fast forward 90 years and this bohemian dwelling became the home to our first hole in the wall burger shop. We deal in delicious, but more importantly, we believe in using only the freshest, premium, free range produce sourced from local Aussie farmers. A further ten years on, and a few million burgers later, our approach hasn’t changed much. Burgers, mouth please. Stay Delicious!

The plant based patties were not available when I visited this place so I had to order The Impossible Urge single patty burger. The burger was okay and it did not come with a side of chips. My partner ordered a chicken burger and did not find it very tasty. The service was friendly and quick.

Ordered heaps through these guys. Last chance was when a clump of hair was placed into the burger. All through menu log but burger urge cooked the meal with a 5 dollar refund. Burger urge themselves did not care and all was said it would be placed on the wall of shame for which I’ve done for them aswell. Waited 2 weeks for a response. (No response)

Honestly mid. Staff have always been very nice and not too long of a wait for food. The hotel California is my go to but chicken is always dry and the buffalo tenders gave me a weird taste. Overall the food is average but hella expensive, if I’m paying $20 or so for a burger I expect chips and $10 for 2!! Chicken tenders is just ridiculous.

What an amazing burger chain. I’m from Adelaide and not exaggerating when I say the vegan chicken burger is the best burger I’ve had since going vegan. The sides were extremely generous size wise! Staff at the Smithfield location were phenomenal. Husband had the double impossible burger and he was delighted also. These burgers definitely hit the spot 🙂
