Welcome to Buon Ricordo – Home of Sydney’s “Best Dish” (Sunday Telegraph) Open since 1987 our customers comment that dining at Buon Ricordo invokes a feeling of warmth and intimacy with attentive, kind and nurturing service. The menu is a blend of classical dishes that reflect the traditional, authentic flavours and techniques of Italian cuisine. Head Chef David Wright is known for using only the freshest of ingredients to create full-flavoured, in-season dishes. Some dishes have become faithful standards such as the Fettuccine al Tartufovo, a now world-renowned dish described by Italian Italy’s Grazie magazine Italy’s Grazie magazine as, “the best pasta in the world” The wine list has won countless awards for its quality and selection.

Certainly no complaints from my side. Buon Ricordo is definitely one of Sydney’s best Italian joints. Absolutely loved the Pork Sausages, Truffle Pasta and School Prawns being my absolute favourite. If you haven’t given this place a go, you should. You won’t be disappointed.

Buon Ricordo Ristorante is a Sydney institution that I haven’t had the opportunity to dine at until today and I have to say it was one of the best Italian meals I have had in Sydney. The FETTUCINE AL TARTUFOVO (Cream and parmesan, topped with a fried truffle egg, tossed at the table), FAGOTTINI (Pork and veal sausages bound with parmesan, truffle egg and pork trotter; finished with lemon infused extra virgin olive oil) and BRACIOLETTE REGINALDO (Crumbed veal rolled with spinach, nutmeg and parmesan. Grilled and drizzled with extra virgin olive oil and lemon) were particular stand outs and I can see why they are signature dishes at this restaurant.

Amazing traditional Italian restaurant, with food done right! The service is impeccable, amazing wine list from both Italy and Australia. Be warned, the menu is on the pricier end of town but Buon Ricordo is not a place you’d come to skim, as dishes such as their famous truffled egg pasta is what you would expect.

Absolutely lovely! The menu is so interesting! You want to try one of everything! The flavours delightful! Some unusual things on the menu, like glacier 51 toothfish, I’d never seen or heard of that before. The silky texture, the marriage of the accompanying flavours, delightful! The 1000 layers, Apple dessert…! Just lovely! The textures & flavours, just lovely!

The truffle egg pasta was devine! The entrees were also delicious. The mains were a bit heavy for me. Another standout feature of this restaurant was the excellent service. Would definitely recommend!

A true Sydney Italian institution! Solid tasty food! Having visited a bunch of times over the past 10 years I would say that the restaurant now needs a refresh. Decor is really dated and felt unwelcoming. We also had a giant stain on our table cloth before we sat down which wasn’t a great start to the night. Had three classics that are the same as when we first had them over 10 years ago. Truffle egg pasta, Ragu pasta and prawns with chilli oil. Overall I wouldn’t recommend based on the price and quality of Italian restaurants Sydney now has.

Went for the famous truffle pasta, we found it quite salty, the richness was insane though. The service was remarkable, the guys were all very lovely, funny and accommodating.

Had two courses for $85 per person, shared between 4 people. Excellent and efficient service from a very attentive waiter. Food was delicious and presentation was lovely, all courses timed perfectly. Wine list offered a great selection. An exquisite, fine dining experience for a very special occasion.
