Spectacular! I had the degustation menu on my own which your rarely allowed to do at restaurants. The food was awesome the local wine was eye opening. Loved the waiter Jamie he knows his wine… a must do while in Launceston

Jamie was very welcoming and talkative and knowledgeable regarding wines. Food was great (we went with the degustation menu). The mushroom dish was unique. Time went by but didn’t feel it was that long. The building itself felt like an old heritage building but after you enter the atmosphere was great.

Mocktail delicious! They ran out of an ingredient for the drink I ordered, so they improvised a different mocktail with my permission… It was SO DELICIOUS that I bought a 2nd (despite being a bit pricey). Food was yummy, didn’t leave hungry after the degustation.

Absolutely outstanding meals and service amid a modern take on Victorian era decor. The meals had well balanced and nuanced flavours and enjoyable textures. The use of great local produce really enhanced the freshness and flavour. You could tell a lot of thought and love had gone into the menu creation. It really felt like food, elevated to another level. The service was prompt and professional, welcoming and friendly. The interior design was impeccable, as was the cleanliness. Save room for the delicious desserts!

Probably didn’t really live up to expectations but it was still a nice enough night. The gentleman serving was the only waitstaff on that night so I understand he was probably under a bit of pressure. All of this is no big deal but just added to an overall lack luster experience – they ran out of ice so we had to order a beer in lieu of a cocktail, the beer glass wasn’t cold, we had to ask for more water & the pork belly pancake came out pre-wrapped so it just looked a bit…odd? & it was strange to eat as you kind of had to eat it with your hands which feels strange in an upscale restaurant. In saying that, I’d still go back & give them another try because I think it just may have been an off night.

A nice 3 course meal. Some of the dishes were a little over thought in our opinion but very nice overall. Beef cheek and the brulee recommended.

We did the degustation and it was exceptional. Every single meal on the degustation was amazing. The service was wonderful, and the atmosphere was great! Would definitely come back next time we are in Launceston

The best food we had in Launceston. The food was immaculate and highly evocative, bringing back childhood memories. We had the octopus, the duck and the fish. All of them were delicious and the duck in particular was our favourite. We could tell that immense care and love was put into the preparation of our food. The bistro was intimate and the service from Jamie was lovely. The lemon/lavender mocktail was also very tasty. This place is a must go when you are in Launceston and we will definitely be back!
