Great coffee shop. So beautiful and the coffee was so good. It is located inside the National Library in Canberra. They offer plenty of seats and work spaces so there were many customers work and study there but not too noisy. Very friendly staff with high quality of food and drink.

The Bookplate is an excellent spot for grabbing a coffee and eating a meal. I had a short long black and it was perfect. They have a good selection of sandwiches, main meals, cakes, and slices. The cafe is surrounded by beautiful and colourful pane glass windows. It is just inside the National Library. It had plenty of room inside and out. It does take away and eat in. I have visited numerous times and have never been disappointed.

Such a beautiful cafe right inside the library. Wonderful staff and selection of food to eat. Got the passion fruit cheesecake, which was the perfect amount of sweet and tangy. Also had a mocha and cappuccino, which tasted good. Definitely recommend this cafe!

Went to Book Plate with 8 people from work for a brunch. The online booking was easy. Our inside table was clearly labelled with the correct name and booking time. The wait to order was brief and the staff friendly and efficient in taking it. The food came to the table after 10min and all 8 people were served their meals within a few minutes of that. Important when you don’t have long for lunch. I had the Katsu burger. It was well portioned, freshly cooked, crispy and damn tasty. Chips were some of the best I’ve had. I lost many of them to people who failed to order them. It was busy but it still felt relaxing. Fantastic experience had by all under the new local family owners. Wonderful first impression, keep up the great work!

A lovely setting for breakfast, brunch or lunch within the beautiful National Library building. Both indoor and outdoor seating available. My crumbed chicken burger was just okay but the beef pie and pumpkin and quinoa salad were apparently very good as was the focaccia. Coffees were all pretty good too. Great central location to meet up with friends and usually plenty of ‘expensive’ parking.

Great spot for a quick bite, even when they are busy. Staff are really accommodating. We came in after they closed the kitchen but they still did toasties for us. I like that they have a water station well stocked and that you can grab your own.

I love the bookplate … it’s got a great warm cosy, stained glass window kind of feel.. perfect on a cold day in Canberra to do some library research and have lunch. The food is always good, there’s a blackboard with lots of choice and the service is good.

I ordered the falafel vegan bowl and raw strawberry slice. Both were absolutely delicious. Please keep up the good work in serving tasty and healthy vegan food. We eat inside and it was a bit noisy.

The best pumpkin salad Ive ever tasted thus far! The crew are trained in the highest standards of hospitality here and are an absolute customer delight! What could be better is the cleanliness of the outdoor seating areas given the fact that the bird poo issue maybe inevitable. Overall a fantastic place for lunch with wonderful views of Lake Burley Griffin!
