Followed the lovely aroma down the street which led us to Bombay Bliss. It’s a chain. I’ve been to another location before. I was impressed by the menu – there were almost too many options to choose from. I went with chef’s special – goat curry. It’s so rare to see goat on a menu. Heads up re: spice level – when they write medium and hot they really mean it! So ask for mild it you can’t handle the heat. It was such a relief finding an authentic restaurant that doesn’t add half a kilo of sugar in a curry! The meals were freshly prepared & we didn’t have to wait long. They also serve alcohol here which was so much cheaper than other venues sell it. Check out the cocktail I got which cost me $10. It had a fresh cherry in it too. We didn’t book and got a table near the register. I’m giving 4 stars because it was rather hot that evening and we couldn’t feel any breeze or a/c where we were so we couldn’t hang around too long because of it.

I have been going here for years and always enjoyed the food but today I felt like I was at a different restaurant…. Staff friendly but food awful. The naan used to be thicker and so delicious…looks more like a paratha with way too much garlic…not the same as it used to be… I got a mild saag prawns in a runny tasteless sauce with prawns without any flavour ….used to be in a thicker sauce with beautiful flavour and prawns had flavour. The rice was ok. This all cost me $30.00. I get that chefs change and all but the food needs to be made in the same way… I was offered another curry to go but didn’t want that…I took some samosas and he gave me plain naan too which I didn’t like either. This place used to be great….I’m very nervous to return again. Most disappointing…..

Ordered 3 curries: 1 x Extra Hot Beef Vindaloo, 1 x Butter Chicken and 1 x Chiken Korma as main. Supporting dishes included Coconet Rice, Normal Basmati rice, Cheese & Garlic Naan and Spinash and Cheese & Spinash Naan. Food consistency, chicken and beef quality, spices etc. was . The overall restaurant look & feel is average. Staff were professional and friendly. Wil visit again.
