Fantastic restaurant in Goulburn, definately worth checking out if you’re in town! The portions aren’t huge, and the meals are quite pricey, but they are delicious and definitely worth splurging on if you’re feeling like a fancy night out. They definitely do not skimp out on expensive ingredients, and in the seafood pasta I got there was heaps of prawns, oysters and mussels. Externally the place doesn’t seem particularly fancy but inside is quite nice, with candles on each table, and fantastic, friendly and fast service.

Food is excellent, but some of the service staff need training in reading the body language of diners and acting accordingly. Also, diners should never be made to feel rushed so keep that in mind. Manager seems alert and on the ball which is great.

Having traveling the world for many years and rated at many Michelin Starred restaurants, the Chef James cuisine equal many of the other great place. We were 3 persons and took 4 different entrees and three different desert and shared among us because it was so good. The restaurant Blue Plate is located in the Posthouse Motel in Goulburn.
