Nice place for a relaxing Saturday lunch. Room is nice, understated. Service was nice and professional. Food was nice, good quality produce with minimal fuss. Would prefer to see more technique; most of the dishes were raw, pickles or ferments. The mackerel (the only cooked dish we had) was slightly overcooked and dry. Is this enough to justify the raving reviews in the media?

It is hard for me to sum up my love for this venue in a short review. Sublime food, the most thoughtful and gentle service and a beautiful wine list. All delivered without any pretension. And so very reasonably priced for the quality. What a gem. I won’t be surprised when they get a second hat.

Went here for desert and a glass of wine. The flavour combination of the set cream and recommended wine was a match made in heaven. It is a bit expensive, but worth a try if you are visiting town.

This is a brilliant, very classy restaurant. The dishes are small but each mouthful is exquisite. We had the quail with pomegranate sauce, bonito fish with small grapes, calamari, and the set cream with honey for desert. The bread is beautiful, and very useful for mopping up the jus from the dishes. I love this place. It’s perfect for a special night out. The service and decor are great too. An exciting addition to Murwillumbah, the stand out best!
