Had a really special night here. The restaurant itself is welcoming and the decor is perfect. Service was personal without being intrusive, and excellent as well. I love that Melbourne has so many gems you can find. This is one of them. For me the fact that you can easily get a car park in North Melbourne is a huge plus! The food was delicious. Our plates were completely empty! Would recommend for that special night out.

The slow cooked beef is totally beyond my expectations. And the onion soup is great as well. Feel like any food that you order from this restaurant won’t let you disappointed. The price also reasonable. Highly recommended.

This review is long overdue. Bistro De Paris is the cutest French restaurant I’ve been to in Melbourne and I’ve been to quite a few. The atmosphere was warm and very cosy. I took my best friend here for her birthday and she absolutely loved it. I had the Magret De Canard which was really delicious. I recommend it to anyone who is after a classy French restaurant, with great food and fantastic service.

The wait staff were so friendly and welcoming! The steak tartare tasted very strongly of mustard and tomato sauce not sure if these were the ingredients but very much resembled tomato sauce and mustard on a hotdog do not recommend. The escargot was pleasant 5/10 and the bread given with them was delicious with the salted butter. The duck was very well cooked and the meat was very tender. The strip loin steak was well cooked but the quality of the meat was not great and had many tendons and hard to eat.

Went here for Valentines Day and they had a set menu which I think is worth it ($99 pp). Maybe it’s because we went there on a very busy day but there was a lot of waiting despite having booked prior. We waited 20 mins for our table and then 20 mins each meal which later we asked about it and they sent our meals straight away for the last two. The food is good, I liked the steak and grilled prawn, and loved the dessert.

a solid 4.5. service was prompt friendly and professional, the ambiance suitable for cozy weekly date night / adult family special occasion dinner. popular with locals. unpretentious. the bread served was warm!. the salman tart was better than expected- serving size generous, significant amount of salmon but without overpowering the sweet red onion and of course the pastry was on point buttery and delicate. the gnocchi dish was also surprisingly light and well balanced. The escargot and beef bourguinon did not exceed expectations.
