Well situated to sip on a good coffee and enjoying some breakfast while watching Bendigo stroll past. The Hollandaise sauce did not split in the hot plate. But the bread used for toast needs to be of better quality at this price point.

The coffee is great, service is friendly. The food would be amazing if it wasn’t so COLD! Evidently it’s cooked next door, walked through the cold wind and then served. If I had known this is would have simply eaten next door.

Rarely write reviews but felt this deserved one. Food was very average. Ceasar salad was tasteless straight out of a Woolworths packet, burnt bacon and they forgot poached egg on top. Chicken schnitzel was bland. Table was sticky and had to ask staff to clean. Had to repeat order three times because the staff was uninterested and not listening and even then, they got our kids order wrong. Bathroom was dirty too, hand bowl hadn’t been cleaned in ages, bin hadn’t been emptied. Very disappointing meal and especially service

Ordered smashed avocado on toast. Avocado was spread so thinly on toast, yet currently, avocadoes are $1.80 from Coles barely any avocado used. The toast was cold, as was the tomato on top. Tomato is nearly raw. Balsamic sauce was very sweet and cold from the fridge, too. Toast was cold and soggie from a mixture of the Balsamic and moisture from raw tomatoes. It was a very disappointing experience. Coffee was good. Hopefully, other meals are better than what we ordered. I would not come back again.

Pancake stack with blueberry jam. Serve enough for 2 people. 3 large light fluffy pancakes and generous sized jam. Highly recommended. Busy morning. But worth waiting. Coffee and pot of tea ok.

The Bath Lane Cafe had a great atmosphere. It also had the highest standard of adherence to Covid Safe standards I’d encountered anywhere. The service was quick and professional, and the food was tasty. I was dining with my mother, and unfortunately whoever was making the coffees got both our coffee orders incorrect. That was slightly disappointing as when our order was taken it was read back to us, and was taken correctly. The breakdown was at the point of whoever made the coffee, not being careful when reading the order, and making the coffee.
