Meals were amazing. I had the bacon beef n cheese pie from the specials board and it was to die for! Highly recommend this cafe! Great dining area indoor and a Perfect outdoor area. Also great to take a walk through the garden and see all the native plants. Will definitely be back.

I really enjoyed looking at all the plants and beautiful tiny flowers. It was peaceful and vast and mostly well labelled. The cafe and shop sport some yummy food such as this home made lemon meringue ( which would have been even better if it was made with a native bush lime) and it was curious to see them selling seeds and live plants in the shop, which is a great way to get our natives back into our home gardens.

Australian Arid Lands Botanic gardens has it all for people of all ages. Those who are botanists can spend endless hours viewing and getting up close to favourite or new species of native plants. They can purchase plants for their gardens. Families can enjoy the sounds surrounding gardens with play Ares close by for their children to keep active. Others can enjoy the resturants delights dining indoors or outdoors depending on the weather conditions at the time. Many native birds come close to the alfresco dining tables, and they enjoy the nearby water features. Overall, it is a beautiful place to visit and not forgetting the wonderful views of the Flinders Ranges and Spencer Gulf.

Expectedly arid, well laid out with comfortable walks. Huge display of desert flora of various regions. This would be wildflower haven in season.

Sensational botanical gardens with Australian plants. There are walks of different lengths to suit different interests and fitness levels. We also enjoyed the bird hide. The soup with damper in the cafe was excellent.

The gardens are a great place to visit. There are as the name suggest a myriad of different arid country plants. Great parking and picnic areas with drinking water. The Cafe was wonderful. Courteous staff, reasonable prices. Good coffee and they even cut my cake in half so I could share easily. A very nice gift shop, but somewhat expensive.

We came to the gardens for a walk around on Thursday, it was amazing. So ended up staying in town that night so we could return to do the full walking trail on Friday morning. Loved every minute of these gardens! Thank you to Port Augusta, this really is a ‘must visit’ for anyone in the area, travelers or locals.
