So – I’m getting married – and one of the biggest decisions is catering. Do you play it safe? Do you go fancy? Why do cakes cost so much? Do they use wagyu milk icing or something? Sit-down service … or buffet?

Exceptional customer service and delicious food. Lamb and chicken skewers were amazing and the bread/nan was so fresh and yummy. I will definitely visit it again to try other items in menu & would highly recommend the place to others.

A regular place for my family to visit 4-6 times a year. Never found it crowded. My family enjoy the lamb briyani and the jug of buttermilk is a must. Good kebabs and the eggplant dish with rotis… another favourite.

If you’re willing to try something other than burgers, noodle paradise or kebabs then give this place a shot.

We usually get the big platters to share. Some days they cook really good! Friendly service.

Stopped over on our way from Melbourne and was really looking forward to it. We had tried a couple of years ago and had a good experience. Unfortunately last night’s experience was not the same. The food did not taste fresh, chicken was burnt, the flavours tasted like pre packaged mix and not the authentic meat flavour that Afghan bbq is famous for. Very disappointed that the food quality had slipped so much in a few years. Not worth the $95 we spent. Owners should focus on bringing back the authentic flavours and not use Shan masala mixes. Also food should be freshly prepared at all times because your customers can tell the difference. Ambience was still nice and I’m hoping the owners can work on the feedback.

Great experience. We tried lamb lion chops and whole chicken. Lion chops were 10/10. But their freshly backed bread is the best. That is one item we come for. We tried the floor sitting. Felt like real Royal experience.

I’m semi-frequent at the Afghan Royal and they never, ever disappoint. Even their rice are often worthy of a meal on their own. The service is great, and I feel comfortable and ‘at home’ per se, despite not really being familiar with Afghan cuisine or culture. I would wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant for anybody interested in a hearty, meaty meal for a great price.

We had so much food here – absolutely delicious. The Daal was to die for and so was the bolani and dumpling. I was so sad when I got too full to finish my food. Fast service and great portion sizes.

Loved the food. Really nice place to eat and the kebabs were fantastic. Heaps of vegetables options as well so that was fantastic. Best naan bread I have had in a long time! Well done.
